Xclusive STORY...{MY JOURNEY ....Part1}

Xclusive STORY...{MY JOURNEY ....Part1}

In the quiet side of ONITSHA, where i live with my dad…{daddy of life}

Next up for me was to say to me that we will be travelling to BENIN for my cousin’s marriage introduction.

My cousin in question is a wonderful cousin i love so much…{NO HOMO PLEASE} it’s the brotherly love for another brother from another mother/father…i call him RICHE..

To make it better and easier for you to understand where m going… arrangements were made as to what to were, when to live, what to go with and all that.

Few days after i came back from school and got all set in the grove to head to BENIN city after a very long time,  {my last visit to BENIN was in 2006}…. The bad part of my journey almost hit me, now you’ll ask me what happened? Right? Yes am sure you want to know…

Ok, here, let me break it down…. Dad only told me that the date for the said event had been shifted a week further for some undisclosable issues…

I held my breath tight but at the end i had a relieve knowing that its beta late than never.

Seconds passed, minutes passed, hours passed, same with days, and the DEEE day came, i heat the gear running and prepared in the grove for the said event…

Got my new native to use ready and all stylishly designed and set for an event as grand as the said event, but yet another news would have spoilt my journey…

Chill and sit back relaxed and have no fear for the news is worse than the one were i was told the even date had been shifted.

{let’s ask ourselves a question or two} what can get u so worked up and ready for an even and the next thing they tell you it’s over and you can’t be in the event you so planned and waited for? A lot on your minds right? From no this to no that? Or from this to that?..... Add the list of yours to this and we’ll know more to tell ourselves…

to be continued..........

  8. It is amazing how powerful disappointment is. We have expectations and if things don't work out as planned, it can really throw us for a loop!

  9. That's the problem with plans, not all of them are going to run as smoothly as you think they will. It's good that you chose not to make a big deal out of everything, that's the secret. Once you're affected, you're never going to get out of that situation properly.

  13. The key is to expect the unexpected. I really hate it when plans to go... well, as planned. But that's how life usually works and it may throw us off the loop at times but it's important to not get affected and just go with the flow.

    1. why? we should always have that social plan we look forward to from time to time, year in year out...

  15. I never like to get too excited about future plans because things always manage to get in the way.

    1. thats the thing, i had gotten so excited that i forgot to plan for anything instead of the future itself.

  18. Life is all about uncertainties! Whatever we think, it never happens and whatever happens, we have never thought about it! I can only suggest that as a human being, we should always keep our hopes alive!

  21. I can figure how dissapointed you were. It's really unpleasent feeling as we prepare ourselves for something but end up dissapoint knowing there is a change.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Its definitely disappointing when your planned events get cancelled and frustrating if its for the second time. Looking forward for the remaining part of the story.

  23. Sometimes in life everything has its own way. It doesn't always go the way we planned. ;-/

    ReplyDelete
  24. I always brace myself for disappointment when I am extremely excited about things in the future, because life happens

  25. There will always be knock backs but if you fight the obstacles there is always a strong chance of winning. Its better to win than not at all.
